Jane Myron is the Mayor of Johnson City, Tennessee, and city commissioner (2005-present).[1][2]. She became the second female mayor of the city after Phil Roe's resignation to become a congressman. Prior to becoming mayor, Myron was vice mayor (2007-2008),[3] On January 29, 2009, she announced her candidacy for re-election to a four-year term as City Commissioner[4] Two seats for four-year terms and one seat for a two-year term were on the ballot in the April 2009 election, to be concluded on Tuesday, April 28.
Myron is also the restaurateur of Jane's Lunchbox, a popular local luncheonette specializing in health-conscious traditional Appalachian home-style cuisine[5][6]. In addition to the printed menu, she and her staff prepare a selection of entrees, sides and desserts which change daily.
