Janice Licalsi
Janice Licalsi was a fictional character on the television series NYPD Blue. She was portrayed by Amy Brenneman for the first season and the initial two episodes of the second season.
A uniform cop, early on in the series she murdered a mob boss who had ordered her to kill her lover John Kelly. Licalsi did this as her father, also a cop, was on the payroll of the mob boss and she was trying to protect him.
Eventually Licalsi was investigated and Kelly withheld evidence that would have pointed to her involvement in the murder. However at the end of the first season Licalsi turned herself in and was sentenced to two years in jail for manslaughter. She was not heard of again. Amy Brenneman stated that plans to have her character return to the BLUE universe were terminated after David Caruso's departure from the show.
