A mosquito-borne virus of the genus Flavivirus capable of causing febrile response and sometimes encephalitis.
A member of the family Flaviviridae and transmitted by mosquitoes from asymptomatic avian reservoir hosts. A major cause of morbidity in humans and domestic animal species, particularly pigs, in which it causes abortion. See also
