Jay Brophy (born July 27, 1960 in Akron, Ohio) is a former American football linebacker who played at the University of Miami, and four seasons in the National Football League, mainly for the Miami Dolphins.
High School Years
Brophy attended John R. Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio and was a letterman in football and basketball. Jay is currently coaching the Sebring High School Football team in Ohio. The Sebring Trojans went 1-9 this seaon Jay gave the team the fundamentals to win. Sebring is on its way to rise up and be a contender in Div. 6. The Trojans had a 30 man roster an increase from last yr. Jay had one interception in his nfl career and he rumbled down the field for 41yds.
