Jay W. Johnson (born September 30, 1943) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from Wisconsin.

Johnson was born in Bessemer, Michigan. He graduated from Gogebic Community College in 1963 and Northern Michigan University in 1965. Johnson received a master's degree from Michigan State University in 1970. He was a broadcaster and journalist (working first for WFRV (Channel 5), then WLUK (Channel 11)) from 1964 until 1996.

Johnson was an information specialist with the United States Army from 1966 until 1968. He was on the board of directors of the Wisconsin United Way.

In 1996, Johnson was elected to Congress and served from January 3, 1997 until January 3, 1999. He unsuccessfully ran for re-election against Mark Green in 1998. He is currently the president of the Green Bay Family Violence Relief Center.
