Review

Jazz Round Midnight is a pleasant 16-track sampler of some of the most laid-back and mellow tracks Cal Tjader recorded for Verve. Although there are some wonderful songs on the compilation, it is only useful for beginners, since the cut-and-paste nature of the collection will infuriate purisits and serious jazz listeners.
