I Love You-But Why? is the English-language title of this remarkably short (40 minutes) French comedy. Actually, this is not so much a film as a vaudeville sketch; accordingly, it is shot like a stage play, with little imagination invested in the photography. "Him" (Andre Randall) is in love with "Her" (Daniele Parola), but "The Young Man" (Marcel Vallee) gets in the way. The story is dominated by a song, "Je t'Adore", which is heard incessantly throughout. This little bit of fluff was a remake of an even littler bit of fluff, Autore de Votre Main, Madame. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
