(b Corcelles, Neuchâtel, c 1770; d Stockholm, 3 April 1822). Swiss violinist, singer and composer. He was a touring violinist, an orchestral musician in Stockholm, a singer in Copenhagen and, from 1811, court conductor in Stockholm, where he produced his own theatrical works, Mozart operas and contemporary French operas.
