(1668–1753)
French-Canadian, he became the principal architect, with the title of King's Architect of New France, working in Québec in the first half of C18. His buildings included the Hôpital-Général, Québec (1710–12), the façade of St-Laurent, Île d'Orléans (1708), the Church and Vestry of St-Nicolas, Québec (c.1720), and many fortifications and other buildings.
