Jeffrey T. "Jeff" Glor (born 1975) is an American news journalist. Since February 2009, he has been anchoring the CBS Saturday Evening News with Jeff Glor, and occasionally contributing to the The Early Show. He occasionally fills in for Harry Smith.
Glor was named as anchor of the CBS Saturday Evening News with Jeff Glor in February 2009. Glor has been reporting as a national correspondent for all CBS News broadcasts, including The Early Show, since April 2007.

Interviews for The Early Show
- Glor reported from Baghdad, where he was embedded with U.S. soldiers and conducted a one-on-one interview with Gen. David Petraeus.
- Glor traveled to China in August 2008 to cover the Beijing Olympic Games, and to St. Paul, Minnesota, for the Republican National Convention, where he was The Early Show's primary correspondent on the convention floor.
- In April 2008, Glor was a lead member of the CBS News team that covered Pope Benedict XVI's visits to Washington, D.C. and New York City.
Pre-CBS career
Before joining CBS News, Glor served as the weekend evening news anchor and a weekday reporter for WHDH-TV Boston (2003-07). He covered many national news stories, including the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens; Pope John Paul II's death from Rome in 2005; and the hearings on steroid use in Major League Baseball from Washington, D.C.
In Syracuse
Glor was the co-anchor of WSTM-TV Syracuse's 5 p.m. newscast and a reporter for the 11 p.m. newscast (2000-03), as well as the morning news anchor (1997-2000). During that time, the ratings improved and Glor’s newscast became the No. 1 morning program in the market.[citation needed] Among the national stories he covered while in Syracuse were:
- The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, from New York City
- The first anniversary of the attacks and the crash of Flight 587 in Rockaway Beach, New York
- Live from Toronto when the Pope visited there in 2002
Early years
Glor began his journalism career in 1997 as WSTM-TV Syracuse's newswriter while attending Syracuse University.
In Central New York, he was named "Best Male News Anchor" by the Syracuse New Times, one of the 40 most promising professionals under the age of 40. He also served as a contributing researcher and writer on The Legal Handbook for N.Y. State Journalists.
Personal life & education
Glor was born in Tonawanda, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. He graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University in 1997 with dual degrees in journalism (from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications) and economics (from the College of Arts and Sciences).
He has been married since April 2003 to Nicole Glab, and in November 2009 welcomed a son, Jack.[1]
Awards
Jeff Glor was awarded the Henry J. Wolff prize, given to the Newhouse student "most proficient in journalism".
