Jennifer M. Gidley, PhD, is a psychologist, educator and futures researcher.[1]

Gidley is the elected President of the World Futures Studies Federation (2009-2013).[2] She is a futures studies researcher best known for her work in educational and youth futures[3] [4] and global socio-cultural change.[5]

Gidley was lead researcher/author of the winning essay in the IAU/Palgrave International Essay Competition in Higher Education Policy Research[6]. The winning entry was entitled From Access to Success: An Integrated Approach to Quality Higher Education informed by Social Inclusion Theory and Practice and will be published in the IAU/Palgrave Journal Higher Education Policy. IAU is the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions.

Gidley is a Research Fellow in the Global Cities Research Institute, RMIT University[7] Melbourne, Australia. Prior positions involved co-design and instruction in the online Masters in Strategic Foresight at Swinburne University, Melbourne (2003-2006).[8]
