Jeremiah S. Chechik (born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is the director of such films as National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Benny & Joon, Diabolique and The Avengers.

Chechik was nominated for Worst Director at the 1998 Golden Raspberry Awards for The Avengers but lost to Gus Van Sant for his remake of Psycho.

He is also directing a new Disney Channel Original Series titled J.O.N.A.S. He, along with producer Michael Birnbaum, purchased screen rights to House of Night (series) by P.C. and Kristen Cast on November 17, 2008. (Also see: Characters in the House of Night Series.)
