Jerry Bonkowski is an American writer who has for 35 years covered NASCAR and various sports. He has written about the NFL, Major League Baseball, the NBA, the NHL and college sports. Included in his career are lengthy stops at USA Today and ESPN.com, as well as Yahoo! Sports. He has a master's degree in sports administration/communications from Ohio University and a bachelor's degree in journalism/broadcast communications from Columbia College Chicago[1]
Jerry now runs his own Web site, JerryBonkowski.com, having been laid-off at the end of 2008 from his position as National NASCAR Columnist for Yahoo! Sports[2]. Even though he is no longer with Yahoo, he remains a part-time on-air personality on Sirius NASCAR Radio, Channel 128.
