James Henry Williams (born in 1960) is a former American Football linebacker who played mainly for the Detroit Lions in an eleven year career that lasted from 1982 to 1993 in the National Football League.
Williams played college football at University of Nebraska where he was an All-American defensive end. He and was drafted in the first round of the 1982 NFL Draft by the Lions.
He is currently the Defensive Coordinator at SUNY Buffalo. His brother Tobey Williams is an assistant on the defense. He also has six children.[who?]
