Jincheng (Chinese: 晋城; pinyin: Jìnchéng) is a prefecture-level city in Shanxi province of the People's Republic of China. Jincheng is an industrial city in an area where coal mining is an important industry.[1] It has a population of 2.2 million.[2]
A recent report issued by the State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) stated that 2/3 of Chinese cities were polluted. The article mentioned the effects of coal industries in the Shanxi Province where Jincheng is located.[3]
