Biography

Blending pop and rock with a voice that has drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley and Stevie Wonder, Boston, MA's Joe Deveau started being interested in music as a toddler. Deveau became enthralled with the John Williams scores to the Star Wars movies he watched as a child and learned how to play Beatles tunes by the age of four. Much later he studied voice, composition, and jazz at the Berklee College of Music. Successful performances at colleges and nightclubs throughout New England led to the recording of his debut, 2003's Take My Chances, and a move to Los Angeles. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
