Johann Georg Daniel Arnold
Arnold, Johann Georg Daniel (Strasburg, 1780-1829, Strasburg), held a clerical appointment in his native city during the Revolutionary period (1795-8), studied afterwards in Göttingen and became a professor of law at Koblenz, migrating in 1811 to Strasburg. He wrote a comedy in Alsatian dialect, Der Pfingstmontag (1816).
