Johannes von Tepl (Tepl, now Tepla, Czech Republic, c.1350-1415, Prague), also called Johann von Saaz, now known to be the author of Der Ackermann aus Böhmen, was for twenty-eight years town clerk of Saaz in Bohemia. In 1411 he became a notary in Prague. He also used the name Johannes Henslini de Sitbor, after his father Henslini de Sitbor.
