John Adams Halderman

Halderman, John Adams (1833-1908) Union army officer, born in Fayette County, Kentucky. Halderman fought at Wilson's Creek (1861) and later organized the northern division of the Kansas State Militia. He left the service in 1864. He was appointed the first U.S. consul and later U.S. minister to Siam, now Thailand (1880-85).
