John Bacon (born 23 March 1973 in Dublin) was a former Irish footballer.
He made his League of Ireland debut for Shamrock Rovers against Dundalk on the 26th of January 1992 while on loan from Arsenal.
In his first season he scored three times in ten league appearances. For the 1992/93 season he went on loan to Derry City F.C. where he scored three goals in twelve league appearances.
Back at Rovers he made eleven league appearances scoring once as the club won its fifteenth League title in the 1993/94 season.
John was capped four times by the Irish Under 21 team.
