John Cromwell Bell, Jr. (October 25, 1892, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – March 18, 1974) was a Pennsylvania politician and judge.
He served as Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania, 1943-47, and Governor briefly in 1947, succeeding Edward Martin, who had resigned to take a seat in the United States Senate. He was a Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, 1950-1972, and served as Chief Justice, 1961-1972.
He was the older brother of Bert Bell, commissioner of the National Football League. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a lifetime member of St. Anthony Hall.
