Biography

British actor and theatrical director John Franklyn-Robbins was primarily involved with performing and helming classic theater. He began appearing in his first films in 1949 and continued to do occasional film work through the early '90s. In 1956, he came to radio where he appeared as an actor, a narrator, and a reader. John Franklyn-Robbins was a British actor. He appeared in the film The Golden Compass. Appearing in television series and feature films, his credits included:

He is notable as being one of only ten actors to appear in both the Star Trek and Doctor Who franchises. The others are Simon Pegg, Daphne Ashbrook, Alan Dale, Maurice Roëves, Barrie Ingham, Christopher Neame, Olaf Pooley, Guy Siner and Deep Roy. (Gregg Palmer also appeared in both franchises, but his role in Star Trek went uncredited.)
