John H. Williams is an American Film Producer and Director, he is the co-founder and owner of Vanguard Films & Animation. He is well known for producing films like Seven Years in Tibet, Shrek and The Tuxedo. He was also producer of a TV version based on the book The Grapes of Wrath in 1991 for American Playhouse and Fox Television. In 2004 after producimg Shrek 2 he founded Vanguard Animation a division of Vanguard Films a company founded by Williams in 1995. He worked as producer on the companies first feature film Valiant directed by british artist Gary Chapman and produced with Walt Disney Pictures. He later produced its second feature film Happily N'Ever After for Lionsgate. In 2008 he produced Space Chimps the third film by Vanguard Animation and is working as director and producer on the sequel Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back which will be direct to video. He is currently working as producer on upcoming Vanguard film like Citizen Siege and Emo Boy.

He is President & CEO of Vanguard Animation in Los Angeles.
