John Morrison, 1st Baron Margadale
Major John Granville Morrison, 1st Baron Margadale (16 December 1906 – 25 May 1996) was a British Conservative Party politician. He was Member of Parliament for Salisbury from 1942 until 1965.
He married Hon. Margaret Smith, daughter of William Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Gore, on 16 October 1928 and had three children:
- James Morrison, 2nd Baron Margadale, 17 July 1930–6 April 2003
- The Honourable Sir Charles Andrew Morrison, 25 June 1932–May 2005. He married Antoinette Long, daughter of Walter Long, 2nd Viscount Long and Frances Charteris, on 28 October 1954; no issue. A one time Conservative MP
- The Honourable Peter Morrison, Conservative MP and PPS to Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister during the 1990 leadership election.
