Biography
John Thomas Nolan was born on February 24, 1978 in Rockville Centre, Nassau County, New York. Growing up in Baldwin, Nassau County, New York, he attended school with Brand New member Jesse Lacey and became close friends. Formerly a member of the band Taking Back Sunday, he now performs lead vocals and guitar in Straylight Run. He and Straylight Run bandmate Shaun Cooper left Taking Back Sunday because they felt that they wanted their music to head in a different direction and for a private reason. John lives in Lawrence, Kansas, with his wife Camille, and announced on his MySpace blog on May 1, 2009, that he had decided to work on some solo work. This can be found at www.myspace.com/johnnolanmusic. John toured the midwest and east coast with Person L and Brian Bonz in November, and is headlining a tour in January with support from Gabriel the Marine and Ocean is Theory.
