John Scully (born August 2, 1958 in Huntington, New York, USA) is a former American football guard who played ten seasons with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League. Scully played for the University of Notre Dame from 1977-1981, and was a tri-captain and a consensus first team All American center.

He is the writer of the popular Notre Dame anthem "Here Come the Irish".
