JSOP

Part of the United States joint strategic planning process developed in the 1950s, the JSOP was prepared each year by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and translated the strategic planning guidance issued by the National Security Council into a specific, integrated, strategic nuclear war plan for the coming four-to six-year time frame.
