Biography

American actor Jon Korkes had several busy years in the early '70s when there was an acute Hollywood demand for young actors with oddball facial features. Somewhat resembling a strung-out teddy bear, Korkes was well cast in eccentric roles in such films as Catch-22 (1970), The Out-of-Towners (1970) and Day of the Dolphin (1973). Korkes' best role in this period was in the filmization of Jules Feiffer's Little Murders (1971). As the younger brother of domineering Marcia Rodd, Jon Korkes suffered from so severe a case of sibling envy that he periodically locked himself in the closet and put on his sister's high heels! ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
