Pollard, Jonathan (1954-) a civilian U.S. naval intelligence analyst who was accused of passing sensitive military intelligence to Israel in 1985. He sought refuge in the Israeli embassy in Washington, which initially received him and later turned him over to the FBI. In a 1987 plea-bargaining agreement he accepted a life sentence without parole. Israel admitted in 1998 that he was their agent.
