Jose Carlos is an up-and-coming Tejano singer and is the younger brother of popular performer Elsa Garcia, who helped him get his start and sign to Capitol/EMI -- it is most unusual for an unknown artist to sign with such a major label. When he was younger, Jose Carlos was influenced by rock & roll, disco, and R&B. He got his start as teen singing back-up for his sister.
