Josh Rand is the guitarist in the hard rock band Stone Sour. Although he mostly takes on the role of rhythm guitarist, he sometimes trades places with lead guitarist Jim Root, most notably on the single Get Inside and Hell & Consequences. Josh also plays guitar for Pop/Rock act Moonshot.
Born August 19 1974 in Des Moines, Josh grew up on the Southside of Des Moines. Josh attended Weeks Middle School. He started playing guitar in his early teens. Josh is a football fan. His favorite pro team is the Atlanta Falcons.

- During the recording of Come What(ever) May, Josh ran 5 miles every day to clear his head before facing the creative atmosphere of the recording studio.
- Rand also stated in an interview with Kerrang! magazine that it would be "beyond his dreams" for Stone Sour to break into the world mainstream but some how he thinks it "just can't happen".
