Joshua Brookes (November 24, 1761 – January 10, 1833) was a British anatomist and naturalist.
He studied under John Hunter in London. He became a teacher of anatomy in London, and the founder of the Brookesian Museum of Comparative Anatomy.
He became a member of the Royal Society in 1819. He found the genus of the cheetah in 1828 which was Acinonyx.
