Wikipedia: Juergen Teller

The photographer Juergen Teller was born in 1964 in Erlangen, Germany. He studied at the Bayerische Staatslehranstalt für Photograhie in Munich (1984-1986) before moving to London in 1986, where he currently lives and works. His photographs have been featured in The Face,[1] Vogue (US, France, England, Italy), Another, Index, W Magazine, Self Service, Details, Purple, i-D among others. For the last 10 years, he has collaborated with Marc Jacobs and also works on the Vivienne Westwood campaign.[2]

Teller's work has been exhibited worldwide in solo exhibitions at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art in Paris; Munchner Fotomuseum in Munich; Museum Folkswang in Essen; Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Bologna; Frans Hals Museum in The Netherlands; Interleith House in Edinburgh and the Kunsthalle Mannheim. The inclusion of Teller's work in important group exhibitions such as "Click Double Click" at the Haus der Kunst in Munich; "Street & Studio" at the Tate Modern in London; "A Poem About an Inland Sea" in the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 52nd International [Venice Biennale]; and "Fashioning Fiction" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York reiterates that he is regarded as one of the most influential fashion photographers working today. Teller has a raw, overexposed style and he uses a Contax G2 camera with a mounted flash.[3]
