Biography

South Korean-born harp virtuoso Jung debuted with the Seoul National Symphony Orchestra at the tender age of 14, just two years after taking up the instrument. She emigrated to Bloomington, IN. in 1986 to study 1986 with Susann McDonald, eventually graduated from Indiana University, and furthered her training at the Eastman School of Music with Kathleen Bride. She toured Europe, Asia, and Israel with conductor Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Jung performs frequently in Israel and Korea, among other locales; in 1998, she issued her own recording, a Christmas album entitled The Gift. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
