Junxion is a company known for its cellular routers in a recognizable lime green color. These network appliance products used embedded distribution of Linux[1] (called Junxion OS) and contained a PCMCIA card slot for supplying the mobile wireless PC card.
Simply put, a Junxion Box uses the data plan of a mobile service card, such as EDGE or EVDO, and acts as a NAT router host for upstream bandwidth provision as a typical local area network using ethernet. These could also be used as a secondary fall-over provider with an existing dual-WAN router.
On 5 August 2008, the acquisition of Juxion by Sierra Wireless was announced.[2]
