Jyllinge is a town with a population of 10,056 (January 1, 2009)[1] in the municipality of Roskilde in the Region Sjælland (English: Region Zealand) , Denmark. It lies on the eastern bank of Roskilde Fjord and is surrounded by open land. It is becoming an increasingly popular town due to the scenic surroundings and relative proximity to Copenhagen.
Jyllinge has two churches. The old medieval church, built around 1100 is one of the oldest in Denmark.
