Kaiyuan (simplified Chinese:开原市; pinyin: Kāiyuán) is a county-level city of Tieling City, Liaoning Province, People's Republic of China.
Kaiyuan was the birthplace of Sheng Shicai (1897-1970), was a Chinese warlord who ruled Xinjiang from 1933 to 1944.
