Kandal (Khmer: កណ្ដាល) is a province of Cambodia. Its capital is Ta Khmao town (lit. Black grandfather). The province completely surrounds, but does not include, the national capital Phnom Penh. The Rithy Panh film Rice People was filmed here.
The province is subdivided into 11 districts.
