Breton counterpart of the Welsh Caradog whose name is associated with stories collected near Vannes in southern Brittany. In the best-known, Karadoc's unnamed father is tricked into sleeping with a metamorphosed sow so that the druid Eliaves might sleep with Karadoc's mother. The result of Karadoc's father's bestial union is the fabled wild boar Tourtain, counterpart of the Welsh Twrch Trwyth.
