There's something about Kaupthing. One of about a dozen primary subsidiaries of Iceland's Kaupthing Bank (whose name comes from the Icelandic words for "business" and "assembly," Kaupthing New York provides US and Nordic institutional, corporate customers, and private banking clients with a range of investment banking services, including treasury, asset management, brokerage, and comprehensive wealth management. Kaupthing New York is part of a network of bank offices that encompasses the Nordic Region, as well as Luxembourg, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. While Kaupthing Bank's roots date back to 1929, the US investment firm was founded in March 2000.
