Kayumanggi people, also kayumanggi or kayumanggi race. (Tagalog: kayumanggi, means "brown" or "tan"). The term kayumanggi is a Filipino word for the color brown or brown hue, and has been used to refer to brown people or people with a brown pigmentation of the skin or brown skin color. The term kayumanggi is a description of human skin color, but also functions as a color terminology for race and identification of social class. In the Philippihe context, the term kayumanggi has been used to refer to the indigenous Malayo-Polynesian-speaking peoples.
