Plot

Hyacinth (Patricia Routledge) feels at home in her new country retreat, an "old world bijou" mansion apartment, however, the low ceilings and cramped rooms make Richard (Clive Swift) claustrophic. Emmet (David Griffin) and Elizabeth (Josephine Tewson) rejoice over Hyacinth's weekend away, until Elizabeth relents to her invitation to tea. Always striving to make a proper impression, despite her lack of experience, Hyacinth accepts Emmet's suggestion they go horseback riding. Afterward, more guests arrive, but Hyacinth and Richard can't quite help them feel comfortable in close quarters. ~ Michelle Troutman, All Movie Guide
