Keeping Up with the Kardashians is an American reality television series airing on E!. The show debuted on October 14, 2007 and will end its 4th and latest season in Spring of 2010. The series documents the lives of the Kardashian/Jenner family, the former of which consists of the ex-wife and children of late attorney Robert Kardashian. Ryan Seacrest is the executive producer of this show. The latest season, season four, premiered on December 13, 2009.
In 2009, sisters Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian decided to move and shoot their own reality TV show in Miami, Florida.[1] The show aired on August 16, 2009.

Cast
- Kris Jenner The family matriarch, she is her daughters' business manager. Kris was married to Robert Kardashian, the late defense attorney who became famous during the O.J. Simpson murder trial. They had three daughters and one son, Robert, during their marriage. She divorced Kardashian in 1989 and later married athlete Bruce Jenner. She had two daughters with Jenner. Kris owns a children's boutique, Smooch, in Calabasas, California. She often comes into conflict with her three oldest daughters over her management of their careers.
- Bruce Jenner The 1976 Olympic decathlon champion, Jenner married Kris Kardashain in 1991, becoming stepfather to Kris's children, in addition to four children from two previous marriages. He is often depicted as the more conservative parent, and often engages in disagreements with his stepdaughters over their choices.
- Kourtney Kardashian She was the first child born to Kris and Robert Kardashian. She co-owns a women's boutique, named D-A-S-H, with her sisters, and co-owns the clothing store Smooch with her mother. She previously appeared in the reality television show Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive. She has a son, Mason Dash Disick, born on December 14, 2009. The father is boyfriend Scott Disick.
- Kim Kardashian She is the second-born daughter of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian, Sr. Kim is in a relationship with NFL football player Reggie Bush. Kim co-owns D-A-S-H, a women's boutique in Calabasas, California with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney.
- Khloé Kardashian Odom The youngest daughter of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian, Sr, she co-owns D-A-S-H, and made the news following a DUI arrest 2007. She appeared in a nude photo shoot for PETA: "I'd Rather Go Naked than Wear Fur" campaign. She has also participated in Celebrity Apprentice. She married L.A. Lakers forward Lamar Odom in the fourth season premiere.
- Rob Kardashian The youngest child and only son of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian Sr. He is a supporting cast member on the show, though some storylines have focused on his relationship with his girlfriend, Adrianne, and his conflict with his family over his decision to put a modeling career ahead of finishing college.
- Kendall Nicole Jenner was born on November 3, 1995.The older daughter of Kris and Bruce Jenner, Kendall has signed as a teen model for the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency.
- Kylie Maria Jenner was born on August 10, 1997.The youngest daughter of Kris and Bruce Jenner.
Season 1
The show premiered on E! on October 14, 2007, and has since then been the highest-rated series on Sunday nights among women aged 18 to 34. Its November 4 telecast averaged a 1.06 rating among adults and a 1.7 among women 18 to 34, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network also said that Keeping Up With the Kardashians has reached over 13 million total viewers in its first month on air.[2]

The second season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians debuted on March 9, 2008. The season premiere drew 1.4 million viewers.[3] Overall, season two averaged 1.6 million viewers per episode, a 36% increase over season one.[4]

Season 4
Season 4 premiered with a two hour special called "Keeping Up With the Kardashians: The Wedding" on November 8, 2009.[6] The remainder of the season will begin airing on December 13, 2009.[7] The seasons first episode show the highest riating of the show to date with 4.1 million viewers.

DVD Releases
The first season of the show was released on DVD on October 7, 2008. It contains all 8 episodes with commentary from the Kardashian family.
The second season of the show is scheduled to be released on DVD November 10, 2009. It will contain all 10 episodes from the second season. Season two is already available in Australia.
Season three of the show was officially released in Australia on 29 October, 2009. The DVD features all 12 episodes of season three; 10 of the episodes feature commentary by Kourtney, Kim and Khloe.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians Collection', a six-disc set featuring the first three seasons of the show boxed together with new packaging, was released in Australia on 13 November, 2009.
