Keiko is the lead vocalist of the J-pop Group globe. Born as Keiko Yamada (山田圭子) on August 18, 1972 in the city of Usuki, Ōita Prefecture. Since 2001 she has made various solo projects starting with the single "A Song Is Born" in collaboration with Ayumi Hamasaki. In late 2003, she released her first solo EP called "KCO". She is currently married to Tetsuya Komuro (小室哲哉), a fellow member of globe.
However, in November of 2008, Tetsuya Komuro was arrested on charges of copyright fraud, which he later confessed to. At the time, one of the justifications TK gave for his crimes was alimony payments to an unnamed ex-wife. Press reports soon began circulating that the couple was in the initial stages of divorce. Keiko went public following the arrest and denied that she and TK had divorced, and that her stint as KCO was, in fact, her way of helping her husband out of his deteriorating financial situation.
Keiko (KCO) released her first solo album "O-CRAZY LUV" under UNIVERSAL in 2008. The album contains a total of 11 tracks, including her first single under the name KCO, "春の雪 (Haru no Yuki)-Spring Snow".
