Kelvin

Kelvin can refer to the River Kelvin, a river in the Scottish city of Glasgow.

The physicist and engineer William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin adopted the name of the river on his ennoblement; it flows past the University of Glasgow, where Thomson worked.
