Review

Although he hadn't perfected his stylish amalgam of pop melodies and jazz improvisation, Kenny G's first album is worthwhile to his fans, simply as a document of his formative era. Parts of Kenny G may be rough, but it is sporadically enjoyable. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
