Hull East is a borough constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

Boundaries
Hull East constituency covers the eastern part of the city of Kingston upon Hull. It takes in the City Council wards of Drypool, Holderness, Ings, Longhill, Marfleet, Southcoates East, Southcoates West and Sutton.
Members of Parliament
Hull East has been held for the Labour Party since 1970 by the former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott. He announced in August 2007 that he would be standing down at the next general election.[1]
