Kleo
Kleo is an unsigned Greek-Canadian singer-songwriter from
Kleo has admitted to never formally learning guitar. "I just press my fingers on the strings." Many critics see this as the key to her minimalist style, like that of Meg White. Her guitar, which she received as a Christmas present and was her inspiration to start recording music, is informally named Paquito. Kleo considers Paquito a separate band member, and her website used to contain the quote, "Guitars are people, too!"
Of the songs she has written, some of her most popular are Lets go Fishing, and Harlequin. It is agreed, however, that her best song was her first song, Venice Beach, about a girl wishing to escape to California. Kleo has said that the song was inspired by a friend.
