Bohemian family of sculptors. The work of (1) Hieronymus Kohl belongs to the earliest phase of Baroque sculpture in what are now the Czech and Slovak republics. That of his stepson (2) Johann Friedrich Kohl-Severa belongs to the moderate 'realistic' phase of Bohemian Baroque, before the more dynamic inventions of Maty?s Bernard Braun and Maximili?n Ferdinand Brokof.
