Kokotsu No Izumi

Plot

This Japanese sex film concerns a powerful businessman (Koichi Mori) who scandalizes his family by marrying a geisha girl named Yumiko (Takako Uchida). Soon thereafter, he is involved in an automobile accident which renders him unable to satisfy her, so he tells Yumiko to engage in a series of affairs, which she does with great abandon. This behavior shocks and angers her stepdaughter Miwako (Kemi Ichiboshi from Boko Shojo Nikki: Mesu), who plots revenge on the wanton Yumiko. If the plot sounds suspiciously reminiscent of Lady Chatterley's Lover, it is hardly an accident. In Japan, this film won an award as the best independent film of the year; director Shinya Yamamoto made dozens of films like this before becoming a talk-show host in the 1990s. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide
